Let’s Do This

so I am doing a thing…and I hope you will help! I cannot imagine being a mother to a baby and worrying about being able to change their diaper. And yet, 1 in 3 parents worry about exactly that.

Studies show that parents who worry about being able to pay for diapers are more likely to have anxiety, depression and it affects their confidence in parenting their baby. The average baby goes through 3,000 diapers a year! When my daughter first started babysitting I remember telling her how often she would need to change the baby and she thought I was kidding. Not kidding-it’s a lot of diapers, and lately, it’s a lot of expensive diapers. Diaper prices have increased 30% over the last 5 years, and they are not covered by food stamps.

Can you imagine not knowing if you will have enough money to buy you baby diapers? I cannot pretend to know how horrible that would feel, and yet clearly a lot of people experience exactly that.

With the holidays quickly approaching, my hope is that we can do SOMETHING BIG. We can eliminate this basic need for families and let them use their finances for other things that might make the holidays a little more special for them and their families. I hope you join me.
