About Me

Hi, I’m Kelly. I am a mother of 2 kids, 2 dogs, a wife, and no stranger to fundraisers.

Before my daughter was born, I used to volunteer at a food pantry every weekend-which is where I learned how in demand diapers are-especially since they are not covered by food stamps. People asked for them constantly.

I liked the idea of doing my own fundraiser-so I could show up when I had time (i.e. when the baby was sleeping), and so I did. The goal was 25,000 diapers and we hit 33,000! That was about 15 years ago. Crazy right?

Since then, I also did a pajama drive which raised over 1,000 pajamas for local shelters. Finally, last year, I had a ring video go viral (social media expert I am not-this was God’s doing)-and we were able to raise and donate $80K to someone very much in need.

What I know to be true is the majority of people want to do amazing things. Everyone wants to be a part of something bigger than themselves. When you give people a chance to show up, they will.
And it’s incredible.

I wanted to do another fundraiser because it feels like people are really struggling. Have you been to the grocery lately? I wasn’t sure how it should look so I started making some calls, and again, I was told the #1 most requested item is diapers. Not only have they increased in price 30% over the last 5 years, but a baby goes through 3,000 diapers a year! With the holidays approaching, I thought it would be great if we could help with this basic need so the money could be used elsewhere. I hope you’ll join me in making this a success.
